Welcome to Kettering University's Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (ESEM) Laboratory Main Page. This is a relatively new project which implements the use of the Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope for research, education and outreach. The ESEM lab is a user facility, open to anyone in the Kettering University community assuming certain user protocols are followed. The laboratory is also open to users from other universities and to industry. Depending on the users affiliation and the nature of the work, there is nominal fee for the use of the equipment, designed to cover operating cost.
